As I am staunchly Team Edward, this was a turn-off. It didn't start to pick up until the last 100 pages. I think I would have rated Shiver higher if there was more excitement to it.

The plot floats on by with all of the excitement of an Enya song. As my insightful husband opined, 'it's almost as bad as a teenager falling in love with a baby.' (Referring to Jacob imprinting with Reneesme in Breaking Dawn) I know that this is a fact because Grace admits it to it. I take umbrage to a character falling in love with a wolf when she is eleven years old and doesn't even know that he is more than a wolf.
